Our September visit was to Cookson and Zinn in Hadleigh just outside of Ipswich. Cookson and Zinn are manufacturers of above and below ground storage tanks and pressure vessels. A large volume of their sales being for the petro-chemical industry but other industries serviced includes pharmaceutical, water, food and power generation.
During the visit we were able to see the preparation of the materials, the welding and finishing of the tanks as well as the infrastructure of the company. Also included in the tour was the drawing office were the tanks and tank systems are designed using the latest 3D CAD technology.
The product range includes cylindrical above and below ground tanks, rectangular, single and double wall, bunded units, pressure vessels and framed tanks.
